GLITCH TV
Twenty-four stations. Twelve television eras. One corrupted signal.
GLITCH TV is a procedural broadcast simulator built around a strange television system that never quite shows the same night twice.
Surf through news reports, weather systems, shopping programs, cartoons, sports broadcasts, surveillance feeds, wrestling, racing, alien wilderness footage, emergency alerts, ritual transmissions, archive recordings, and other unstable channels. Each station generates its own moving broadcast, audio loop, program schedule, and signal behavior.
Change the television hardware to experience the network through twelve different display eras, ranging from early mechanical television and woodgrain CRT sets to institutional monitors, cheap digital screens, and future signal relics. Every set changes the color, tracking, scanlines, warmth, interference, and overall character of the broadcast.
The longer you watch, the more the system remembers. Viewing habits influence signal contamination, unusual programs begin bleeding into other channels, and hidden transmissions may emerge under the right conditions.
A concealed retro console is also built into the television. Power it on to interrupt the broadcast and enter Blood Dojo Signal, a small arcade fighting game running inside the set.
